This task can also be done by updating the host file, To do that you need to go through few steps and you,ll be needed ES File Explorer as well.

  • Open Play store and search for the Keyword “ES File explorer” and install it.
  • Now, open ES file Explorer and click on the “/” button. then select System >>etc.
  • Now Tap on hosts, and click on three dots icon from below options then choose Open as>>Text>>ES Note Editor>>Edit.
  • On Editor you need to Redirect the DNS. To do this type,  127.0.0.1 www.<blockedwebsite>.com , here blockedwebsite is the name of that site you wanted to block, so replace it with that. For Example, if you are looking to block a site names as www.notallowed.com then you need to type 127.0.0.1 www.notallowed.com 
  • In order to make the host file affect you need to reboot your android device.
